Tukiyem: A Delicate Script Font

There I was, staring at a blank brand board, trying to find the right visual voice for a new boutique skincare line. The client wanted something soft, approachable, and elegant—something that felt personal but still professional. After testing a few options, I landed on Tukiyem. It wasn’t the first font I tried, but it quickly became the one that resonated the most.

A Font with Personality

Tukiyem is a handwritten script font that feels both refined and natural. Its characters flow smoothly, with subtle swashes and a sense of movement that gives it a human touch. The balance between the curves and straight lines makes it feel well thought out, not just randomly drawn. It’s the kind of font that can sit comfortably in a logo, a headline, or even a tagline without feeling forced.

What stands out about Tukiyem is its versatility. It works well in both modern and traditional design contexts. Whether paired with a clean sans serif or a classic serif, it adds a layer of warmth and character that other script fonts sometimes lack. It’s not overly ornate, which makes it more accessible for a wide range of projects.

Testing Tukiyem in Real Design Work

I tested Tukiyem on several design assets for the skincare brand. On a logo draft, it gave the brand a soft, inviting feel that aligned perfectly with their mission of gentle, natural care. When placed on a packaging mockup, it added a touch of sophistication without overwhelming the product’s minimalist aesthetic.

On a business card, Tukiyem looked clean and readable, even at smaller sizes. It didn’t lose its elegance when scaled down, which is a big plus. For social media graphics, it worked well as a headline font, drawing attention without being too flashy. In web design, it made a strong impression in hero sections and call-to-action buttons, adding a unique visual flair.

When Tukiyem Shines

Tukiyem excels as a display font, especially in branding where a personal, handmade feel is desired. It’s ideal for logos, headlines, and short phrases that need to stand out. Its flowing style makes it perfect for creative studios, boutique shops, and artisanal brands looking to convey a sense of authenticity and artistry.

It also pairs well with other fonts. For example, pairing it with a simple sans serif like Lato or Montserrat creates a nice contrast that keeps the design from feeling too busy. With a serif font like Playfair Display, it can create a more classic, refined look. The key is to use it as an accent rather than a body font.

Limitations and Considerations

While Tukiyem is beautiful, it’s not a font for every situation. In long paragraphs or small text sizes, it can become difficult to read. That’s why it’s best used as a display or headline font rather than for body copy. It also might not be the best choice for formal corporate branding, where a more structured typeface would be more appropriate.

For commercial use, it’s important to check the licensing terms. Tukiyem is likely available through Script Amp, and if it’s a premium font, there may be specific restrictions on how it can be used in client projects, merchandise, or print-on-demand products.

Practical Tips for Using Tukiyem

If you’re considering using Tukiyem in your work, start by testing it in different sizes and contexts. Try it on a mockup, a website header, or a social media post to see how it performs. Pay attention to how it interacts with other elements in the design—does it add to the overall aesthetic, or does it clash?

Also, consider the message you want to convey. If your brand is all about creativity, craftsmanship, or a personal touch, Tukiyem could be a great fit. But if your brand is more technical, corporate, or data-driven, you might want to explore other options.

Ultimately, Tukiyem is a font that brings a unique energy to any project. It’s not just a typeface—it’s a tool for storytelling, a way to give your design a voice that feels authentic and expressive. Whether you’re working on a logo, a packaging system, or a digital campaign, Tukiyem has the potential to elevate your work in a meaningful way.
